The UTR-LR takes everything the original UniFi Travel Router does and adds reach. A fold-out “super antenna” lifts transmit power to 20 dBm on 2.4 GHz and 23 dBm on 5 GHz (up from 13 and 15 dBm on the standard UTR), so the hotel, holiday-house or site WiFi you are riding on holds a usable link from further away, and the network you rebroadcast covers more of the room. Fold the antenna flat and it slips into a pocket like the UTR does.

Plug it into Ethernet, join an existing WiFi network, or tether an iPhone or Android phone over USB-C, and the UTR-LR hands your devices a private network of its own. Pair it with a UniFi gateway at home or the office and Teleport brings your whole network with you with one tap; prefer a third-party VPN and it runs as a WireGuard or OpenVPN client so every connected device is covered without installing anything on them. It works in stand-alone mode too, no UniFi account needed, and setup is done over Bluetooth from the UniFi mobile app.
